Description
James McGaw Slade (1871-1959) married Agnes Burnham (1875-1962). She was the daughter of George Franklin Burnham and Sarah Marinda Smith. He was the son of Jefferson Slade and Mary Jane Western of Pine Valley, Utah. They married at the time their families were living at Mancos, Colorado. They raised a large family. His family were later among a group of Saints that went through the "Hole in the Rock" on their way to Bluff, Utah. Later, they lived at Durango, Colo., Fruitland, N.M. and Moab, Utah. Several generations of descendants are given.
