John Tripp was born ca. 1610 in England and came to the U.S. in the 1630s, settling in Portsmouth, Rhode Island where he died in 1678. Descendants and histories of his children are recorded in various volumes. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Utah, and throughout the U.S.
