Description
This book concentrates on the Hennessys of Canada, who descend from a family of migrants from the U.S.A., and who settled near the Bay of Quinte in Hastings County (Sidney Township), Prince Edward County (Ameliasburg Township), and Northumberland County (Murray Township) between 1789 and 1800. They migrated from North Carolina, Vermont, and New Hampshire. All the Hennessys came originally from Ireland. Descendants of Richard Hennessy of Vermont and Canada and his wife Sarah Hendricks of New Jersey and Canada. They were the parents of nine children, who were born between ca. 1804 and 1829. Descendants of Richard's brother, James Hennessy and his wife, Christeen Simmons of Ameliasburg.
