"McBroom--Haynes Bible belonged to Mrs. Arrena McBroom Haynes, 1828- 1910, wife of Charles Lewis Haynes (1826-1889) of Daviess Co., Ky. C. L. Haynes was a farmer who lived near Panther Creek Cemetery on the Daviess County-Ohio County, Ky. line. Only the Bible record pages were saved and in possession of grandaughter Miss Ollie May Hays and Mrs. E. B. Whiteside. Copied 1962 by M. J. Edgeworth, Owensboro, Ky., through their permission.".
Description
Evan McBroom (1800-1828) and his wife, Nancy, had four children, 1823- 1828. Their daughter, Arrena, married Charles Lewis Haynes. They had twelve children, 1850-1872.

Includes information from a biography of Charles Lewis Haynes in History of Daviess County, Ky., 1883; and death dates of each of the Haynes children from a paper prepared by Mrs. Beatrice Haynes Carter and Miss Ollie May Hays, Owensboro, Ky.
