Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Nelson (and variant spellings) families who came from Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland. Some English lines are traced back to the 1300's. Immigrant ancestors settled in Nova Scotia (Canada), and in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some immigrated to the Northwest Territory (Canada), Barbados, Granada, Leeword Islands, Martinique, and the British West Indies. Others settled in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. During the 1800's, some moved to Ontario (Canada), the Indian Territory, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington D.C., West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in Alaska, Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, Washington, and elsewhere. Some were adopted. Some had African American bloodlines.
