Spine title (orig. cover title): Genealogy: Jett family.
Description
Descendants of Stephen Jett, Jr. (later after his son Stephen's birth ca. 1828 he dropped Jr. from his name and started using "Senior"). He settled in early 1811, with his family, in what was then Clay County, but the area is now in Breathitt County, Kentucky. Stephen Jett Sr. (ca. 1774-1863) married (1) Rachel Miller and they had seven children. Rachel died shortly after the birth of her seventh child in 1826. Stephen married (2) Nancy Gibson, daughter of William Gibson, of Clay Co., Kentucky in 1827. They had one child, Stephen Jett, Jr., born ca. 1828. Descendants live in Kentucky, Michigan, California and elsewhere.
