Description
Jacob Reiber (1727- d. prior to 1810), the immigrant ancestor, came to America on the ship "Dragon" arriving in Philadelphia on Oct. 17, 1749 with Abraham Reiber, his relative. He was born in Sandhofen, Baden, Germany. He married his wife Catherine (b. ca. 1730) about 1759. They lived in Upper Milford Township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania from 1762 until at least 1779 at which time they moved to Monaghan Township, York Co., Pa. Their eight children were all born in Lehigh County. Descendants live in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
