Description
George Naylor Woods Laurie was born 1804 in London, England. He was a descendant of one William Laurie (1681-1780) who was born and died Dumfries, Scotland. William had a son named Robert Laurie who immigrated to England. George married Elizabeth Louisa Heyland ca. 1861 in London and they immigrated to New Zealand in 1863. They were the parents of six children. Elizabeth died in 1873 and George married Lillian Emma Moreland in 1879. George and Lillian had four children. Descendants of George and his two wives lived primarily in New Zealand.
