Description
"When Volume One of the Second Series of Pennsylvania Archives was printed, it was supposed that it included all the records of the Pennsylvania Navy. Recently some muster rolls have been found which, although in part duplicating what was contained in the volume referred to, comprise such valuable additional material, relating to that branch of the Continental Service in which Pennsylvania took such a prominent part, that it has been deemed advisable to print all the rolls" -- Prefatory note.
