Description
Hans George Löhl (b. 1705) and his family immigrated in 1737 from the Palatinate of Germany (via Rotterdam) to Philadelphia, settling in York County, Pennsylvania, and moving to Rowan County, North Carolina in 1752. The surname was anglicized to either Lagle or Lail for descendants, who lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. Includes some ancestors in Germany.
