Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Hoyt (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Ireland and Scotland, and settled in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island as early as the 1600's. Some focus is on (but not limited to) Simon Hoytt of Connecticut, Thomas Hitt, of Rhode Island, and John Hoyt of Maine. In the 1700's, some settled in Kentucky, Maryland, New Hampshire, and New York. During the 1800's, some migrated into New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island (Canada), and to Alabama, the Dakotas, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Washington D.C. and elsewhere.
