Description
Zechariah Field (1600-1666) was a son of John Field, Jr. and a grandson of John Field the illustrious astronomer. Zachariah immigrated from England to Dorchester, Massachusetts about 1630, and moved in 1636 to Hartford, Connecticut. He later helped establish Hadley, Connecticut. Martin Field (1773-1833), direct descendant in the sixth generation, lived in Fayetteville, New York. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey and elsewhere.
