Description
Johann Walburger (1849-1925) was born at Falls Oberfraken, Bavaria, the son of Johann Nikolous and Margarete Kunigunde Popp Walburger. He married Anna Dorothea Stettner (1854-1925), daughter of Johann Thomas and Anna Margarete Schwarzenback Stettner, at Nuremberg, Bavaria. They had ten children, 1879-1899. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1881. Johann and Dorothea, with two young sons, immigrated to Utah in 1883. They lived a short while at Salt Lake City, then moved to Paris, Idaho. In 1892, the family immigrated to Canada, and settled at Mountain View, in southern Alberta. Johann and Dorothea sold their property at Mountain View in 1925 and moved to Cardston. They both died there and are buried at Mountain View. Descendants live in Alberta, Utah, Arizona, and elsewhere.
