Description
The earliest known ancestor was Thomas Ridington (1768-1830), son of John Riddington and Jane Cox, who was from Leicestershire, England. In Plymouth he met Margaret Tregoning (1771-1839), and they were married in 1790. They had seven children. 1. John (1792-1792); 2. Elizabeth (1793-1855), who married James Symons in 1818; 3. John (1797-1878), who married Rosina Symons 1817; 4. Margaret (1801-1805); 5. Mary (1804-1824); 6. Thomas (1808-1885?), who married Jane Jordan; and 7. Margaret (1811-1880), who married William Chynoweth in 1832. Family members live in England, New Zealand, Canada and United States.
