In the 1700s, some settled in Nova Scotia and Quebec (Canada), Bermuda (West Indies), and in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee. During the 1800s, some moved to New Brunswick and Ontario (Canada), and to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington D.C., West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in Alberta (Canada), Australia, England, New Zealand, Wales, and in Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, Oklahoma, Washington, and elsewhere. Some have Chickasaw, Seminole, and other American Indian bloodlines. Information was extracted from cemetery inscriptions, census records, church records, court records, depositions, diaries, DNA projects, immigration records, local histories, obituaries, shared family histories, wills, and other published works.
