Description
John Harrod Sr. was of English ancestry and was likely born ca. 1700 in Massachusetts. He had two sons by his first wife before he married Sarah Moore ca. 1734 in Shenandoah Valley, Pennsylvania. Later they moved to Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania. John was the father of nine children and died ca. 1760 in Pennsylvania. Descendants lived primarily in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and elsewhere.
