Description
Amos McCurry (1794-1885), son of William McCurry and Elizabeth Ledford, was born in North Carolina, and died in Mountain City, Rabun Co., Ga. He married Rachel Webb (1800-1883), daughter of Jeremiah Webb and Hannah Sweezy, 1820 in Rutherford Co., N.C. She was also born in North Carolina. They were parents of ten children. Family migrated from Rutherford Co., N.C. to Rabun Co., Georgia ca. 1837. The earliest known ancestor, William McCurry (ca. 1718-1790), died in Lincoln, N.C. Descendants live in Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama and elsewhere. Contains mostly family group records.
