Description
First volume gives a broad history of the United States and the involvement of members of Franciscus and related families in that history. Second volume traces the descendants of Christopher's ten children from father to son, etc. The emigrant ancestor, Ludwig Christopher (Christophel) (1680-1757), was born in W. Grafschaft, Germany, and died in Lancaster Co., Pa. He was married twice. His first wife's name is not known. They had one daughter, Johanna, born in Germany. He married (2) ca. 1718 Anna Margaretha Schwab (1690-1773) in Lancaster Co., Pa. She was born in Sinsheim, Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany to Jost Schwab and Anna Katharina Wolfhardt. They were parents of nine children born in Pennsylvania. Descendants live in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Tennessee, Maryland, Kentucky and elsewhere.
