Description
Descendants of Johann Peter von Kennen/von Konnen (b. 1722), who came to Philadelphia, Pa. in 1748 and later moved on to North Carolina. He had five sons and three daughters. His sons were: John (b. ca. 1750), William (b. ca. 1755), Peter (b. ca. 1760), Martin (b. ca. 1770), and Jacob (b. ca. 1775). There were three other members of this family, who also emigrated from Switzerland: Balthasar (b. 1729) came to Leacock Twsp., Pa. in 1749; Johann Jacob (b. 1731) went to Ohio in 1751; and Hans Martin (b. 1727) went to Pennsylvania in 1749 and probably later to North Carolina. This book includes mainly the descendants of sons of Johann Peter. Descendants live in North Carolina, Texas and elsewhere.
