After the death of Alvaretta K. Register, large portions of the manuscript were researched and compiled by Mrs. Robert V. Walton, while Mrs. Kemp Mabry edited, corrected, and typed the final draft.

Description
Nathaniel Everett (1678-1749) moved to Morratock, Cowan Precinct (later County), North Carolina in 1683. His son, John Everett or Everitt (1743-1820), married Sarah Fagan about 1772, served in the Revolutionary War, and lived in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. They moved to Effingham County, Georgia in 1785, and part of their land was located in Bulloch County when it was created in 1794. Descendants and relatives of John and Sarah lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Texas, California and elsewhere.
