Description
Norman Cameron (1770-1844) was born at Inverness, Scotland. He immigrated to Wilmington, North Carolina in 1791 and settled near Pine View, N.C. He married Rachel Bruce (1774-1850). They were the parents of three children, Christian, Angus B. and Daniel B. Angus Bruce Cameron (1816-1888) married Margaret Monroe and they were the parents of ten children.
Description
Allen Cameron was born at Auchternchity, Scotland, where he married Mary Stewart at Auchternchity, Co. Fife, Scotland. In 1791, he and his three sons immigrated to Wilmington, N.C. A daughter, Margaret, married a McLaughlin and remained in Scotland. A daughter, Nancy, was born on Baker's Creek in Bladen Co., N.C. near where the family settled in 1792. Their three sons were Archie, Dougald and James. Archie (1774-1842) married Christian McKeithen. Dougald (1784-1842) married Barbara Morris. James (1786-1863) married Morrison Cameron. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given.
