Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Ingalls (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England Germany, Norway, Poland, Scotland, and Switzerland. Some focus is on (but not limited to) ancestors and descendants of Edmund Ingalls (born ca. 1598-died 1648) who was born in Skirbeck, Lincolnshire, England, the son of Robert Ingalls. In 1629, Edmund with his brother, Francis, and other family members immigrated to Salem, Massachusetts and settled Lynn, Massachusetts. Edmund married Ann or Annis Telbe. His brother, Francis married Mary. In the 1600-1700s, some settled in Nova Scotia (Canada), Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Tennessee. During the 1800s, some moved to Alberta and Quebec (Canada), California, the Dakota Territory, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in Alberta (Canda), and in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and elsewhere. Records include excerpts from Bible records, diaries, histories, journals, and newspapers, and include extracts, photocopies, and transcripts of baptisms, births, bishops' transcripts, burials, cemetery inscriptions, census, court records, deeds, deaths, directories, land records, marriages, military records, obituaries, parish registers, pensions, tombstone inscriptions, wills, and other official records. Years covered are from 1384 to the present.
