Description
James Corder fl. 1758 in Culpeper Co., Virginia. He married Elizabeth (surname unknown) sometime prior to 1760 and moved to Fauquier Co., Virginia. James served as a soldier in General George Rogers Clark's regiment in Illinois. He had a son named Elias Clark who moved to Spartenburg Co., South Carolina. Elias married Anna Tapp and they were the parents of eight known children. Descendants lived in Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and elsewhere.
