Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Underhill families in America. Some focus is on (but not limited to) families related to Capt. John Underhill (1608-1672), who was banished from England in the early 1600s, and came to America with William Penn. Capt. John married Helena de Hooch. They established their family in Maryland and New York, which family became one of the oldest and largest Underhill family in America. During the 1800s, Underhills also lived in New York and Ohio. Later descendants also lived in New Brunswick and Ontario (Canada), Australia, England, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Includes information about contemporary members and their special events.

Issuing Body
The Underhill Society of America, Inc. was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1892, by David Harris Underhill and other members of the North American Underhill families. It was incorporated in 1903 in the State of New York. Its has headquarters in Oyster Bay, New York. Annual meetings have been held every year since the founding, except for a brief hiatus in the 1940s. A special part of the Society is called the Underhill Society of America Education and Publishing Fund, which is responsible for publishing their Bulletin and other publications. Their archive is located at 107 East Main Street in Oyster Bay, New York. Digitized copies of some issues, an inventory of their collection, and other information is found on their Web site.
