Description
Samuel Wood (b.1737), son of William Wood and Mary Coleman, immigrated in 1755 from England to Alexandria, Virginia, and served in the military forces of Col. George Washington in the French and Indian War. He returned to Virginia by 1763, lived in Fairfax and Loudon Counties, and married twice. Descendants and relatives also lived in Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and elsewhere.
