Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Cornell (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, France, Germany, Ireland, and Prussia. Some immigrated to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island in the 1600s. Some were Huguenots and Quakers. In the 1700s, some settled in Maine, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. During the 1800s, some moved to Quebec (Canada), and to Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. Many descendants remained in Michigan. Others lived in Alberta and Manitoba (Canada), Germany, the Philippines, and in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. Information is transcribed or extracted from birth records, deeds, diaries, marriage records, military records, tombstone inscriptions, wills, and other record sources dated from the 1600-1900s.
