Description
John Richard Mobley, Sr., son of Jeremiah Mobley and Sarah Cheves, was born 20 Dec 1779 in Wake County, North Carolina. He married Lucretia Simkins, daughter of William Simkins and Winnie Vardell, in 1805. They had ten children. John died about 1857 in Edgefield County, South Carolina. Lucretia died 20 June 1861 also in Edgefield County. Their children and descendants have lived in South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and other areas throughout the United States.
