Description
George Boone III (1666-1744), a Quaker, married Mary Maugridge in 1689 and immigrated in 1717 from England to Berks County, Pennsylvania. Chiefly follows line on descent through Daniel Boone (1734-1820) to Alphonso Boone (1796-1850). He was born in Mason County, Kentucky, the son of Jesse Bryan Boone (1773-1820). He migrated to Missouri in 1822 with his father. He married Nancy Linville Boone (1798-1838), a second cousin, in Callaway County, Missouri, in 1822. They had ten children, 1822-1837, born in Montgomery County, Missouri, and Jefferson City, Missouri. Nancy died in Cole County, Missouri. The family migrated to Oregon in 1846. Alphanso Boone died at a trading post at Long's Bar, Feather River, California. Descendants and relatives lived in Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, Missouri, and elsewhere.
