Numbering errors: Vol. 7 no. 3 (spring 1995) was misnumbered as vol. 7 no. 4; vol. 12 no. 1 (fall 1999) was inadvertently designated as (winter 1999/2000), and vol. 12 no. 2 was designated for winter 1999/2000.

Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Howle (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England. Some allied families came from France. Some settled in Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in Pennsylvania and South Carolina. During the 1800's, some moved to Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, South Dakota, and Texas. Later families also lived in Australia, France, Guam, and in California, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and elsewhere. Some have American Indian bloodlines, or African American bloodlines. Includes some names of slaves.
