Powell born ca. 1817 in Maryland and died in 1880 at Cedar Grove Farm in Somerset County, Maryland and other Powell families. "No connection can be made at this time between the families of Samuel Powell and Walter Powell and questionable connections between Henry E. Powell and the miscellaneous Powells." "This book deals primarily with the Powells who remained in Somerset County, Worcester County, Wicomico County, Maryland people and one western shore Virginia family. Includes Brittingham, Dennis, Dryden, Long and related families.
