Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Kemp (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Ireland, Germany, and Wales. Many were knighted. Some Kemps emigrated to the Bahamas and Bermuda (West Indies), and to Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in Ontario (Canada), and in Connecticut, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. During the 1800's, some moved to Prince Edward Island (Canada), and to Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in New Zealand, and in Missouri, Oregon, West Virginia, and elsewhere. Some were Quakers. Some joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in England, then emigrated to Utah. This work is meant to supplement "The Kemp roots.".
