Description
Uziel Twitchell (b. ca. 1824-1862) was born near Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Illinois. He married Sarah Hurford (b. ca. 1823- ca. 1870) and they had five children. Their grandson, Jacob Noah Twitchell (1879-1961) was born in Illinois and married Effie Dorothy Troutman. They moved to Kentucky in 1902 and were the parents of four children. Jacob later moved back to Illinois. Their son, Jacob Paul Twitchell (1909-1971) was born in Paducah, Kentucky. He married Camille Ballowe and they had no children. Paul Twitchell is known for forming the first public ECKANKAR group.
