Peter Hitt was born in Nassau-Siegen, Germany in 1683. He came in 1714 to Germanna in Orange County, Virginia, with his family. He died in 1772 in Fauquier County where he had moved in 1724. The family settled mainly in Fauquier County.
Description
Johann Jost Merten (John Joseph Martin) was born in 1691 at Muesen, Nassau-Siegen, Germany, to Hans Jacob and Anna Barbara Merten. He came to Virginia with his wife Maria Kathrina in 1714. In 1724 he moved to Germantown in Fauquier County where his wife died. He married Eve who died about 1778-1781. He died ca. 1758-1759 in Fauquier County. The family settled mainly in Fauquier County.

Tilman Weaver was born ca. 1703 in Nassau-Siegen, Germany and came to Germanna, Virginia, in 1714. He moved to Germantown in 1724 where he married Ann Elizabeth Cuntze. He died in 1759 in Fauquier County. The family settled in Fauquier County.
Description
Germanna, Orange County, Virginia, was established in 1714 but ceased to exist by the 1730's. Germantown was established in 1724 by settlers from Germanna. It was in Fauquier County and ceased to exist by the 1760's.
