Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Murphree (and variant spellings) families in America. Main focus is on the ancestors, descendants, and relatives of the Irishman Daniel Murphree (ca 1715-1771), and his wife Sarah. Some of their descendants joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and were part of the Latter-day Saint pioneers' migration to Utah. Descendants also lived in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Much genealogical data was abstracted from local, state, and federal records (chiefly census records).
