Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Wortham (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England. One English immigrant, John Wortham had a son, George (b. 1673), and three grandsons, George (b. 1699), John (b. 1703), and James (b. 1716), all of Virginia. Most Worthams in America descend from immigrant John, but other lines are also featured herein. In the 1700's, some Worthams settled in Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, and Tennessee. During the 1800's, some moved to Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and elsewhere.
Additional Physical Form

Issuing Body
The Wortham Family Association was formed after the Wortham's first reunion in Kentucky, in 1989.
