Description
Collection of newsletters originally published from 1952-1991 for the Peter Fullmer Family Organization, edited by Iona Jarvis Belka. Focus is in the ancestors and descendants of Peter Fullmer (1774- 1857). Peter's early ancestor was Hans Jacob Vollmar, of Rosswag, Neckar, Wuertemburg, Germany. Hans Jacob brought his family to America in 1721, and settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Vollmar progenitors built several Lutheran churches in Pennsylvania. Peter Fullmer was born in 1774 to Johan George Follmer and Juliana Kessler. Peter married Susanna Zerfass, and had seven children: David, Mary, Desdemona, John Solomon, Charlotte, Luisiana, and Almon Linus. In 1846, David was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David's parents, his wife, and some of his brothers and sisters joined the Church later. Peter Fullmer's family lived in Pennsylvania, then some moved to Tennessee, Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois. Some descendants moved with the Latter-day Saint pioneers to Utah in the 1840's.
