Description
Periodical for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the ancestors and descendants of Josiah Martin and Sarah Fleming, whose Scotch-Irish ancestors came to Pennsylvania in the early 1700's. In 1846, Josiah and Sarah left Pennsylvania for Nauvoo, Illinois, and later joined the migration of the Latter-day Saint pioneers to Nebraska, Iowa, and Utah. Their children were: Margaret, William and Josiah Fleming Martin. Some focus is on (but not limited to) Josiah Fleming Martin (1815-1881), his wives, and descendants, many of whom remained in Utah. Other related families and their descendants also live(d) in British Columbia (Canada), Chihuahua (Mexico), California, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, Washington, and elsewhere.
Description
The Josiah Martin and Sarah Fleming Family Organization originated in January 7, 1967, at Salt Lake City, Utah. Its name was changed to "Martin Family Organization" ca. 1971.
