Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Ballard (and variant spellings) families who probably came from England, France, and Scotland. Some settled ca. 1600-1700s in Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia. Some focus is (but not limited to) descendants of the following: Thomas Ballard and Anne Thomas of Virginia, William and Elizabeth Ballard of Massachusetts, William and Grace Ballard of Massachusetts, and John and Bathsheba Ballard. During the 1800s, some Ballards moved to Mexico, and to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Ontario (Canada), Australia, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Some have African American bloodlines; and some slaves' names are given. For more information, see Lyne D. Miller's Web site for the Ballard archive.
