Description
Family history of Robert Frederick Griffin (b. 1919), son of Frederick William Griffin (1868-1923) and Laura May Burtner (1884-1959). Laura May Burtner was a daughter of George Burtner born in East Pennsylvania Twp., Cumberland Co., Pa. and his wife, Rosa Weismiller. The Burtner family came from Holland to Lancaster Co., Pa. in the early 1700s. Members of the Griffin family originated from Wales. They immigrated to Canada in the 1760s and to the State of New York in the 1880s. Family lived in Cleveland, Ohio in 1888. Descendants and family members live in Ohio, Iowa, New York, Canada and elsewhere.
