"Cephas A. Fisher Jr. was born in 1812 in Highland County, Ohio, the son of Cephas Fisher and Rachel Stanfield. He married Mary Hoskins and moved to Indiana, then settled in Henry County, Iowa. These Fishers were descended from Thomas Fisher and Elizabeth Huntley, of Chester County, Pennsylvania."--t.p. Descendants live in Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, and elsewhere. Includes references to several early American Fishers.
