History and genealogy of the Couch and Gee families, with focus on the ancestors and descendants of William Crouch (1842-1909) and his wife, Attillia Monema Gee (1847-1931). William was the son of Charles Crouch and Mandana Pasco. Attillia was the daughter of Jane Brower and Edward Gee,a descendant of the immigrant Solomon Gee, Sr., of Devonshire, England, and Deborah Huntley (1714-1807) of Lyme, Connecticut. William Crouch married Attillia M. Gee in 1864 in Michigan. They had twelve children: Charles, Minnie, William E., Jennie M., Burton M., Esther J., Clara A., George B., Maude M., Harry, Idessa, and Enest C.B. After William's death, Attillia married George W. Dingman (widower of Caroline Crouch Dingman), of New Haven, Michigan. In the 1600-1700's, Couch and Gee families lived in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Later descendants and allied families also lived in California, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Virginia and in Ontario (Canada).
