Description
The first Masons of Lambton County, Ontario originated in Lancashire, England. Two sons of William Mason (b. 1820), who were half brothers, immigrated to Canada. James Mason (1839-1919) immigrated in 1868. He married Percilla Tennison/Tennyson (1851-1903) in Whitby, Ontario. The other son to immigrate was Joseph Mason (1860-1939) who traveled from Aston, England to Ontario in 1885. Joseph married Elizabeth Rose (1879-1948) in Michigan in 1898. They lived in Plympton Township, Ontario. Traces the descendants of both families, many of whom live in Ontario.
