The earliest Auker and Walters ancestors go back into Pennsylvania in the 1700's. "John Auker ... was born 22 Aug. 1830 in Perry County, Ohio. ... He was the seventh child of George AUCKER/AUKER and Sarah Strate, based on present research. He married Frances WALTERS 6 Dec. 1855, in Jackson Twp?, Darke, Ohio. She was born 27 Nov. 1837, probably in Brown Twp. Darke, Ohio, daughter of Perry WALTERS and Mary BAILEY."--P. 77. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, Idaho, California, Michigan and elsewhere.
