Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Chadbourne (and variant spellings) families who descended from William Chadbourne (b. 1582) of Tamworth, England. He and his wife, Elizabeth Sparry married in 1609. William left England in 1634, on the ship "The Pied Cow," and landed at Cow Cove, in South Berwick, Maine. His sons, William Jr. and Humphrey, and his daughter, Patience also came to America. Patience married Thomas Spencer. William and his family lived in, and helped build many towns in the Piscatauqua River area. They lived in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island in the 1600-1700s. During the 1800s, some descendants moved to Canada, and to Arizona, California, Iowa, Maine, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin. Later families also lived in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec (Canada), Australia, Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong, Monaco, Russia, and in Alabama, Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and elsewhere. Some have African American bloodlines. Some have American Indian bloodlines.
