Chiefly, a record of ancestors and descendants of John Everett Staley and his wife Nellie Logie Mitchell. John Staley was born on November 27, 1888 in Kansas City, Missouri, and was known as Everett. He married Nellie Logie Mitchell on June 1, 1911. Nellie was born June 15, 1888 in Kansas City, Kansas. Everett and Nellie had two sons. Everett had many jobs throughout his life including owning and editing a local newspaper. Both Everett and Nellie served in many positions in the community. Everett died on November 12, 1969 in Clayton, New Mexico, just two weeks short of his 82nd birthday. He is buried in Fairmont Cemetery, in Denver, Colorado. Nellie spent the remainder of her years in the home of her son, Alan, in Abilene, Texas where she died September 8, 1980. She, too, is buried in Denver, Fairmont Cemetery, Colorado. Descendants lived in Virginia, Missouri, Canada, Wisconsin, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Michigan, Texas and elsewhere.
