Description
Chiefly ancestors, with their children and some grandchildren, of the author. Leonard Elwood Buck was born in 1930 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Nelvin Rollin Buck (1900-1951) and Dorothy Helen Muller Buck (1905-1977). He married Nina Mae Benner in 1951 at Spinnerstown, Pennsylvania. They had two children, 1965-1968. After serving two years in the army, he attended Berean Bible School at Allentown, Pennsylvania. After graduation, the family served a foregn missionary in Africa until 1980, then settled at Carol Stream, Illinois, where he worked at mission headquarters. He retired in 1996. .

Ancestors include: Philip Bock [Buck] (fl. 1742) of Germany and Bucks County, Pennsylvania -- Georg Christian Müller (1803-1851) of Württemberg, Germany -- Joachim Näf [Neff] (ca. 1578-1654) of the Canton of Sankt Gallen, Switzerland -- Johannes Hunsicker (ca. 1710-ca. 1800) of Germany and Pennsylvania -- Hans Jürg Rüger [Rex] (1682-1772) of Germany and Pennsylvania -- Michael Büttner [Bittner] (d. 1769) of Alsace-Lorraine and Pennsylvania -- Christian Jakob Zorn (1837-1899) of Württemberg, Germany.
