"This report covers just one branch of the Daniel Davison family tree - the main stem from Daniel (1630-1693) directly to his fifth great-grandson. Paul Harvey Davison (1867-1953), and branching out through Paul's second great-grandchildren - spanning 370 years from 1630-2000 and covering twelve generations. Several side branches between Daniel and Paul are also described, but only 'as a matter of record,' i.e., nothing new is reported. Albeit somewhat limited, the family tree of Paul's six siblings are also reported herein. The side-branches receiving the most emphasis were those with ties (birth, residence or death) to the Davison family homesteads at or near Yankeetown or Minonk in north central Illinois."--Foreword and introd.
Description
Paul Harvey Davison, son of Prosper Harvey Davison and Jane C. File, was born in Yankeetown, Illinois and died in Minonk, Illinois In 1895, he married Bertha O. Trullender. They had six children between 1896 and 1905; all were born in the Yankeetown/Minonk area. Daniel Davison, Paul's fifth great-grandfather was born in Scotland and died in Wenham or Salem, Massachusetts. In 1657, he married Margaret Low; they had nine children. Descendants include Kerrick, Livingston, McChesney, Mnu, parks and related lines; many still live in Illinois.
