Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of Klein and Little (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from Germany. Some allied families came from England and Russia. Some focus is on (but not limited to) Captain Daniel Little, Esquire (1731- 1775), who was known as Daniel Klein in his native land, Rhineland (Germany). He immigrated to Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. On becoming a naturalized citizen in 1753, his surname was Anglicized to Little. Daniel married Annie Mary (maiden name unknown). Their children were: Peter (who married Christena Agner); John; Daniel Jr. (who married Phillipina Flynn); Henry; James (who married Rosannah Tucker); Lewis (who married Tobitha Sparks) and Mary (who married David Sparks). Capt. Daniel died and was buried in Salisbury. Many descendants remained in North Carolina, especially in Taylorsville, and in the Counties of Rowan and Catawba. One great-grandson, Lewis Little, moved to Georgia in 1840. He married Catherine Odom. Descendants and relatives of these, and other Littles also lived in Alberta (Canada), Russia, and in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and elsewhere.
