Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Myatt (and variant spellings) families who originated in France and Catalonia, then immigrated to England to escape the Albigensian Crusade in the 1300's. In the 1700's, some came to America. Some focus is on (but not limited to) John Miot (Myatt) who was born in 1726 in England. He immigrated to Wake County, North Carolina in the 1740's, and fathered a large family. Some of his descendants, and other Myatts moved into Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Later descendants also lived in Australia, and in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and elsewhere.
