Description
The Hayman name was found in Devonshire as early as 1312. Henry Hayman (ca, 1634-1685) immigrated to Virginia in 1650. After his marriage to Elinore(?) and the birth of his first son in 1663, they moved to Maryland, where five more children were born. Another ancestor, Sir William Hayman was also born in Devonshire, England ca. 1700. The Hayman Clan was organized by Captain Louis DeMaro Hayman in 1950. Louis was a Methodist minister, the brother of Cynthia Pugh Hayman Aguirre, and the son of Daniel Webster Hayman and Mary Elizabeth Perry Hayman. Louis was the grandson of Daniel Hayman, and great-grandson of Henry Hayman. Descendants and relatives lived in Arizona, California, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and elsewhere.
